Hello.

I am Aaron Axline, the founder and lead writer of HUMAN TEXT.
I have been a professional writer for nearly thirty years, with experience in technical writing, articles and blogs, copywriting and scripts, and fiction and comedy. If it can be built with words, I've probably built it during my career.

Why HUMAN TEXT?

Artificial intelligence is an exciting technical field, but the current unprecedented (and largely unregulated) use of generative AI to create written content has huge legal and ethical problems which aren't being addressed by legislators, and are certainly not being managed by the businesses involved in the current AI content gold rush.

The growing evidence indicates that generative AI programs (like ChatGBT) were trained using content scraped from the internet, content that was protected by international copyright laws, and for which its creators received no compensation (and were not asked for permission) for having their content used as AI training materials.

Business leaders are being deluged with AI hype that is at best irresponsible, if not downright damaging. In many cases, generative AI isn't actually artificial intelligence at all; it's just hardware and software doing hardware and software things.

AI-generated writing is flooding the internet with homogenized content that makes websites (and search engine results) indistinguishable and downright confusing. The internet is losing functionality due to the ongoing AI-generated content saturation that largely targets Google's SEO tail.

In short: generative AI is generating more harm than good.

Now you know why I founded HUMAN TEXT. I wanted to create a professional writing services company that creates content written by people, for people. I wanted to give companies and organizations (and even individuals) an option for content creation that doesn't involve the current slate of sketchy AI software tools.

"All of our words are hand-picked," as my Gramma would have said. I sent handwritten letters to her when I was a kid growing up in Edmonton, and she responded in kind. My love of the written word came at an early age, and I have spent my life building things with words, contributing meaning and purpose to companies and groups across numerous industries.
